H.2858 An Act to protect youth from the health risks of sugary drinks

This legislation implements various strategies to reduce the consumption of soda and other sugary beverages to improve children’s health. Provisions include, but are not limited to; warning labels on sugary beverage advertisements, and the creation of a commission to increase access to clean drinking water in public spaces such as parks and schools.


This legislation includes the same policy provisions as H.3329 An Act to promote healthy alternatives to sugary drinks, but does not include the imposition of a tiered excise tax.
